The good news is that God provided a way for you not to reap the “wages” of your sin and deliver you from the weight or burden you are carrying around. He has also provided a way for you to be delivered from the guilt and shame associated with your sin. He did this because He loves you and has a plan for your life that only you can fulfill. He wants to use you, bless you, and encourage you. I told you previously where to find the book of Romans in the Bible (in the New Testament). In Chapter 5 and in the 8 th verse it says;

“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

 In other words, God sent Jesus to take on all of your sins (and mine among others) so that we can be delivered from that burden, so that we would no longer try to fill that void in other unsuccessful ways, no longer be separated from Him, be delivered from the guilt and shame, and not reap the “wages” of our actions any longer. And the real kicker is that He sent Jesus to take on the burden of your sins so that He could have a personal relationship with you. In the Book of John, in the 14 th Chapter and the 6 th verse, Jesus said;

“…I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

 That means there is no other way to fill that void, be one with God, and not reap the “wages” of our sin apart from accepting the gift that God is offering you through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. Because God loves us so much, and because His Son, Jesus died for us and rose again on third day, we are able to fulfill those plans God has to prosper us and give us a hope and a future. When Jesus rose on the third day, He was representing a new life of freedom for those who He died for and who trust and believe that He is who He says He is, and receive Him as their Savior.

In order to have a relationship with God and walk in the plans He has for us we must individually receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. It must be a choice we make on our own. In that same book of John, in the 1 st Chapter and 12 th verse it says;

“As many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.”

 We receive Him in faith. Faith means that you believe and trust what God has said in the Bible. Faith is an action word. When you believe and trust what God has said in the Bible, you can make the step of faith to accept Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior.

One of my favorite verses is in the New Testament of the Bible in the book of Revelations, in the 3 rd Chapter and 20 th verse. It says;

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.”

 I know for a fact that He’s been knocking on the door of your heart and is doing so now. Will you open the door and let Him into your heart? In doing so, you are saying that you believe and trust that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for the “wages” of your sin, and that He rose again so that you could have freedom in life.

 It didn’t take me long to surrender my heart and life to Jesus Christ when someone shared this message with me. I knew where my best efforts in life had taken me, and I was ready for something new. I can’t begin to tell you all the wonderful things God has done in my life, first and foremost by filling that void inside of me with peace. Are you ready to make that decision?

Remember that first verse I shared with you found in the book of Jeremiah? It said that God has a plan for your life, a plan to prosper you and not harm you; a plan to give you a hope and a future. Well, the next verse after that is really essential. It says;
