This is the newest and the most indepth biography of Sec of State Condi Rice that I have read in along time. Others deal mostly with the political aspects of her life, but this book tells the leadership secrets of her success. It is the first book to take a deep look at her faith and how it has shaped her ethics and [how it] has played a deep role in family and her education. This is a very special publication that has touched me greatly…She is a great role model and this book shows what faith, education and family can do for a person. This would make a great gift idea for a friend, family [member] or soldier serving over seas.

The Faith of Condoleezza Rice is more than a biography; it is also a story of Rice’s walk with God. Montgomery writes in an absorbing style…this book is well worth the reading, informative and interesting. It describes the life and spiritual walk of an excellent role model for young people, especially young women, and encourages readers to live their faith. The recorded speeches and the interviews with Condoleezza Rice show her to be a deep thinker, not swayed by current fads.

I was intrigued by the intellectual nature of Rice’s faith…the parts of the book in which the author discusses the particulars of Rice’s faith, and especially those that are drawn directly from interviews with her, make for fascinating reading. It is well-written, fast-moving, and is certainly an enjoyable read. I would gladly recommend it as an interesting glimpse into the life of a woman who is extraordinarily gifted and who has not risen to a position of great responsibility and great authority despite her faith, but, it would seem, because of her faith.
